Granular synthesis

Chop a sound into grains — slivers of 10–200 ms — and play back a cloud of them. Because the read position is independent of playback rate, you can freeze a sound in place, stretch it, or shatter it. Each grain gets a window (fade in/out); switch the window to rect to hear why that matters — those clicks are the discontinuities. Drop in your own audio, or use the built-in sample. Nothing is uploaded.
