Every tuning system renders "the same" interval a little differently — usually within a comma, sometimes much more. Put one interval under the lens: the ruler zooms into a few dozen cents around the pure ratio and pins each system's version to it. Play them back to back — the differences are small on paper and unmistakable in the ear (the beating gives them away).
